ThunderCats Commercial Bumpers
Whenever ThunderCats has aired on US television, as with most television programmes it has always had commercial breaks, usually shown between the end of one act and the start of the next. With most TV shows in the US, it is common practice for them to have what are known as "commercial bumpers" - special segments designed to tell the audience that a commercial break is coming but that the show they're watching "will be right back after these messages!"
ThunderCats was no exception to this, with the series originally boasting dramatic-looking commercial bumpers, narrated by voice actor Earl Hammond. When Cartoon Network began airing ThunderCats as part of their Toonami block of programming, they actually created exciting-looking and unique commercial bumpers of their own.
In this section we are delighted to be able to showcase a selection of the commercial bumpers used both in the 1980s and by Toonami in the 1990s.
